Please congratulate 2014 Hands of Christ Recipients

St Columba—Donald Bullen, Matthew Condame

St Mary— Erin Hayes, Katie Hogan, Ian Hogue, Emma Krenzer, Casey Stephenson, Michelle Vullo

St Vincent—Scott Kesselring, Courtney Maysick, Katie Paolucci

These youth have been active in many ways over the years and continue to be active as high school seniors, attending Mass and participating in service to the parish and community, truly putting their faith into action as role models for others.

What is the Hands of Christ Award?

This is a special recognition for a teen that:
-Has consistently demonstrated a Christian attitude by word and example.
-Has been actively involved in the parish as well as their school or community.
-Has been a positive role model to their peers, younger children and adults.
-Is a practicing Roman Catholic in a parish in the Diocese of Rochester and attends Mass.
-Is currently a high school senior.

A number of the teens were able to attend the recent services with Bishop Matano to receive their awards.  They had this to say about the experience: "it was a very special night and comforting knowing that there are a lot of Catholic teens in our diocese." ~Matt C.  "It was really cool to meet both the bishop and other Catholic teens." ~Erin H.  "I found the bishop to be delightful and he spoke to the teens in a real way. " ~ mom of one of the teens  "There are a lot of good young people in our parish. It is an honor to be recognized." - Don B.
