Help Needed Through Christmas

Catholic Family Center’s micro enterprise, Healthy Sisters Soup and Bean Works, is in great need of volunteers to help pack soup & coffee for the holiday season. The program serves women in recovery and they desperately need volunteer support between now and Christmas to meet seasonal demand. We can use up to 10 volunteers at a time serving in three hour blocks between 8 and 3 PM during the week from now until right before Christmas. They can do this one time or as often as they would like. The minimum age is 16 with an accompanying adult. The location is 500 Lee Rd, Rochester NY 14606 and the program contacts are Ken Zablotny and Kathy Previte. They can be reached at 546-2784 during the hours above or by email at kzablotny@cfcrochester.org or kprevite@cfcrochester.org This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for families, especially when teens need community service hours.

Parish Mission and Vision Statement

The people of our churches – St. Columba, St. Mary of the Assumption and St. Vincent de Paul – strive to live the sacramental life together through vibrant liturgical worship, loving service and life-long faith formation for spiritual growth. Through wise use of our gifts, leadership and shared resources, we are one community of Catholics worshiping our God -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we embrace an atmosphere of belonging and discipleship to make visible the life and work of Jesus Christ.
